The other night Dan and I were on our way somewhere and I got bummed out because I forgot my camera! Dan turned to me and quietly said "are you bummed out about the camera cause you wanted to capture the moment, or did you just want pics to post on your blog?!" We all know the answer! So then the next day I was looking at all the pictures I have taken since I started blogging and realized that I, first off, take way to many pictures(somewhat of an addiction), and second, I take some of the craziest, pointless pictures now. Ones that otherwise would have not been taken if it weren't for this dang blog. Should I be embarrassed?
So today came along and Dan and I decided to try to make a "from scratch" carrot cake, since it was a success, I knew I just had to capture a shot of it and tell all my friends about it. But then I thought this is has gotten a little out of hand. I should not just be taking photos so that I can blog about them. I know some of you know exactly what I am talking about! Luckily everything is digital, so its a win win situation, its not like a spending money on pointless shots! SO maybe I should just look at blogging as me contributing to my family history, you know like journal keeping! But on the other hand I feel like my spouse needs to hide the cam from me! But any who, here's the cake, allrecipes.com came through for me again. Try it out if you are a cream cheese carrot cake lover! Its not the best one I have ever had buts it is definitely good and I'm pretty proud of us for doing it from scratch. It's called "Carrot Cake 111" on the website.

Maybe instead of me having to find the receipe, you could make it when you get here. IT's onoly like 4 days!
Looks delectable. I also LOVE the carrot cake recipe from the Better Homes & Gardens cookbook (perhaps someday we can make both and do a side-by-side comparison).
Yes, make it while you're here! See you tomorrow!
Ooh! Yes please! Everyday when I walk to the bus stop I have to walk by a donut shop-- it's pure torture! The smell of sugary goodness wafts from the store. I think it's time for us to have a stay with the Feys. Feel free to invite us over whenever is convenient for you guys. :)
