Shout Out to American Fork Police! WHOOP WHOOP!

After a late night of celebrating the birth of Wendy, I woke up early this morning(9:20am) feeling a urge to be productive, so I began studying for my three finals that are tomorrow!! At 11:20am I got ready to go out for a goodbye lunch with Annie and Nicole! At 3:15pm lunch got over and I headed home still in a productive mind set! I then got distracted by a sign for target off the highway and felt the sudden urge that I needed to stop off at that specific one in American Fork, right then cause I just needed this comfy, cute pair of summer slippers to help study for my finals! I also needed to get a poster board for a presentation in one of my classes so it gave me even more of an excuse to enter into that money pit of a store! I ran in and out speedy quick! I walked out congratulating myself for just getting what I needed. I reached into my purse to grab my keys and realized they weren't in the side pocket like they usually are, so I began searching in the main part. After being goobed with my hand sanitizer that had opened and spilled, I began emptying the contents to find my keys! Nope not in the main pocket! So i looked in the driver's side window to see if they were on the seat! Nope not on the seat! Okay.... SO I go around to the passenger side and peered in the window! OH THERE THEY ARE STILL IN THE IGNITION WITH THE FREAKING CAR ON.......COOOOLLL!! So then I began to panic and who better to call when your panicking then your Mom and Dad! NO ANSWER! next idea call Nicole she works close, and has lived in the area for a while she will know how to get help. NO ANSWER! Okay I'll call Dan, we only have one car so he can't easily run keys up to me and he is in the library so by the time he gets up here I will have been waiting for an hour! NO ANSWER! By this point I'm frantic, trying to keep cool as I am in public and about to start crying. I try Nicole again cause she is always by her phone at work!! FINALLY she answers and tells me to call 911! I hesitated because this wasn't by definition an "emergency" though it felt like one to me! So after a few minutes of convincing myself it was emergency worthy I called and they connected me to a dispatcher and said someone would be on there way! I then call Mom again and Dad answers, finally, and he hates panicking so I play it cool! He remains calm as well, and tells me its alright Mom's done that before, and if the police don't come then call AAA! Mom gets on the phone and lets me know that I got that gene from her! OH NO! I then call Dan three more times, he finally answers and finds it humorous that I locked myself out, and helps me calm down! After 45minutes of phone calls to tell people the situation i put myself into and sitting on my hood being publicly humiliated by all the target shoppers, the cop showed up! The littlest cop I have ever seen! But boy was I thankful!!

Moral of the story, I guess I didn't really need those cute summertime slippers, and I'm going to go get my Alzheimer's checked out because a 21 year old should not be doing that!

But on the bright side I got something to blog about!
